Lingerie is the most romantic gift you can give to the special lady in your life. Women like to feel special, sexy and desired. Many women typically buy themselves fairly standard lingerie, but love to receive special lingerie as gifts. However, if the lingerie is comfortable, why shouldn’t ladies wear their special lingerie every day? It will make them feel special, not to mention it is very nice for you also.
Romantic gifts can be given at any time, and don’t have to be just for a special occasion. They are a wonderful way to say “I love you”. They can be even more romantic if they are given for no special reason.
So long as you follow a few rules about buying lingerie for your lady, you will earn yourself an amazing amount of brownie points! If you buy her something very special that she likes, feels comfortable in, and fits her well. She will be very impressed that you did the necessary research. Not only that, but you will be able to enjoy looking at her in the lingerie, and she will feel very special and sexy.
Buying lingerie without the right knowledge can be quite difficult. Making the mistake of not following these rules can cause the opposite effects to what you were trying to achieve. Luckily for you I will help you make sure you don’t make the mistakes generally made by men.

1. Be selective! Buy something classy & comfortable
Luckily for you we only stock the finest quality lingerie, and therefore this will no longer be a problem for you.
2. Make sure it fits!
One of the biggest mistakes you can make is to buy something that won’t fit, especially something that is too small! There can be a confusing range of sizes and numbers, but it is really not that difficult. If you don’t know her size, check out her lingerie drawer when she is out. Briefs, shorts and thongs will generally be labeled with a letter sizing, e.g. S, M, L or a number, 10,12 or 14 etc. Bras in Australia are typically labeled with a letter and a number, e.g. 12B, 14C. The letter is the Bra cup size, and the number is the body size.
Make sure you checkout lingerie that she currently wears in case you look at something she no longer wears and therefore may not fit her any more. Once you have this information, make sure what you buy has the same sizing.
If you can’t find out, simply ask her. Don’t tell her what it’s for, apart from it being a surprise!
3. Remember who you are buying for
Make sure you remember that you are buying the lingerie for her. Sure, hopefully you will also reap the benefits of her wearing the new sexy lingerie, but you won’t if you buy her something that she refuses to wear. For example, if she doesn’t have any, and never wears any thongs (g-strings), then chances are she won’t appreciate you buying one for her.
Don’t be afraid to ask her questions to find out what she likes. You can do it discretely though. When you see a corset, suspenders and stockings for example on TV, ask her if she likes them. Tell her about this site and pay attention whilst she browses it, noting what she likes.
4. Gift Wrapping
Don’t ruin the romantic surprise by giving her the lingerie in the postal envelope or package, or in plastic wrapping. Giving the gift beautifully wrapped in tissue paper, then in a gift box with satin ribbon makes the gift far more romantic, and trust me, it will make an amazing difference to how the gift is received.

5. Matching Sets
Where possible always buy matching sets of lingerie. A bra and the matching shorts, bustier and matching briefs etc always have that luxury appeal. Where items don’t come as matching sets, e.g. Vollers corsets, purchase a co-coordinating item. For example, a black brief or thong will coordinate nicely with a red corset. 7. Advice on specific products
Stockings and Suspenders – if you are like me, then you love stockings and suspenders and would love your lady to wear them as much as possible! Most ladies don’t wear stockings except for special occasions (weddings for example), if at all. This is thanks to tights and pantyhose. However, if you want to encourage your girl or lady to wear stockings and suspenders, then here’s two pieces of information that you need to know. It worked for me!
Firstly, most of the suspenders typically available in Australia have small plastic clips. I know from helping to put these on that they are useless. They can be very difficult and painful to actually attach, and are not designed to actually hold up stockings. They are designed for the bedroom only. Therefore, one of the reasons that ladies don’t wear stockings is that they are uncomfortable. Well, the good news is that there is a solution to this.
We stock suspenders with metal clips that are almost impossible to find elsewhere in Australia. These are available on suspender belts, corsets and other items, simply refer to the description of the product and we will indicate if the suspenders are made of metal.
Metal suspenders clips are designed to very quickly and easily attach to the stockings, and best of all they are designed to hold stockings up for hours, all day in fact. With stockings then being easy and quick to put on, and comfortable to wear, with a little luck your lady will be wearing them more and more.
The second thing that you need to know and mention at the appropriate time, is that stockings are scientifically proven to be healthier to wear than synthetic pantyhose and tights. That’s right, you also have the best interests of her health in mind!
So, what to buy? Well, you have two options. You can buy a suspender belt which have from 4 to 8 suspender straps. The more straps the more securely the stockings are held in place. I suggest 6 as a good place to start for the first purchase. Or, you can try a more subtle approach by buying a corset, bustier or similar that comes with suspenders. As she becomes comfortable with these and finds out how much more appealing stockings are now that they are comfortable, you can then introduce the suspender belt.
Regardless of what you buy, make sure you purchase a pair (two is better in case a stocking gets a run) of luxury stockings to go with the suspenders that will make her feel very special. I suggest the Gerbe satin top stockings, or the luxury lace top stockings. These will make her feel very special.
Corsets
Corsets have returned to popularity thanks in large part to Hollywood & more recently to Dita Von Teese & Victoria Beckham. Corsets can be found in most of the fashion magazines and to my mind are the ultimate in femininity, romance and sexiness. The other great thing about corsets is that many of them can be worn as either underwear, or outerwear, either on its own or over a dress or top.
The Vollers corsets are steel boned and are authentic corsets. Vollers have been making corsets for over 100 years. They are experts in their trade and their corsets are simply incredible.
The steel boned corsets are designed to mold to the wearer’s shape and provide a wonderful waist cinching effect, that provides a very sexy silhouette. This need not be tight or uncomfortable.
Ladies typically admire the corseted pictures in the magazines, but aren’t adventurous enough to try themselves. They think it will be uncomfortable. Well, it can be, but not if you wear it correctly.
I would suggest that if you want to her to wear a corset or think that she wants one but isn’t adventurous enough to buy one herself, that you buy her an underbust corset to start. Buy a colour that can be worn either as under or outer wear. Make sure that you follow our corset wearing advice when she wears it.
